link Future of SBBack

As mentioned in the previous post this new website is part of a bigger whole to mark the future of SB.

To let you know what this means, I'm making this post so you know what is going to change in the future (both on the svn as otherwise).

What is going to change now?

  • All versions of SB (starting from SB2) and it's addons will be able to be found on this svn.
  • 3rd party addons (that aren't managed anymore by their original author) will be added to this svn.
  • CAF, which is used for SB3 will be also be added to this svn.
  • The older svns (caf, customaddons, ...) will be removed and a single svn will remain.
  • In the background another svn will be kept to do the actual development on (if you want access to this, you'll have to ask).
  • SBEP will be added

What's going to change in the future?

  • The main SB addons (starting from SB3) will be merged into a single addon (this means CAF, SB, LS, RD) => Garry'smod beta
  • SBEP will be reorganised a bit and other addons will be cleaned up a bit
  • Once the Garry'smod beta is released, we'll be releasing updates to the new addon system (max 1 time per week).
  • SB4
  • ...

Nice to see SBEP and other addons will be cleaned up, reorganised, and put into one SVN, lots of people seem to get discouraged from playing SB because they can't figure out how to install everything correctly (Took me a few hours to get SB3 and SBEP working)
